Maremagnum day & night
The Maremagnum complex is located at the port area of Barcelona. In the daytime and early evening it is primarely a family oriented place with gift shops, restaurants, a kids play area, etc. Late at night, the discotecas and bars take over the scene and then it is playtime for adults. I found the discotecas to be geared way too much towards foreigners- but they are cool to check out. Ignore the prostitutes and other riff-raff (unless that is what you are looking for). Does not really matter. Not a sophisticated scene.
