Millau Bridge

You really need car in this part of Spain. You can either pick one up at the airport or do as we did and take your own.
We drove down through France from the port of Zeebrugge stopping off overnight in the Auvergne. We made one big mistake and that was to drive round Paris OMG never again, remember the Peripherique can get very busy.
It was a good run and we past over the new Millau bridge in France which was very spectacular and for the cost around €3, well worth it, as it cuts off going through all the little villages going down towards Bezies.
There is a Catalan village on the motorway at La Boulou, just before you cross over into Spain, they have local crafts, wine and produce on sale as well as a hotel and restaurant.
Then we headed towards Girona and branched off towards Pals at Figueres.

Finding a small quite town

Pals situated near the sea cost, but you'll not find beach there. Autentic architecture, stone streets and beautiful arches are main decorations of this small town.
