The Gaudi centre, is, surprisingly, a modern building, dedicated to the early life of Gaudi, who was born, educated and spent most of his life here. His ideas being formed by his surrounding and nature he saw from his studio window, although I can't see it myself.
The centre is three stories high and you start your journey with an audio visual show on the 3rd floor.
You are given an audio head set with your entrance fee and this tells you about the various exhibits in the centre.
Prices 2010 : €7 adult
€4 children and pensioners.

After visiting the Gaudi centre, just pick up a brochure at the Exit of the Gaudi trail. This takes you around the outskirts of Reus showing you early works of Gaudi.. It is easy to spot his works, although they are quite subdued compared to his later works in Barcelona.

We found this restaurant next to the Gaudi centre in Reus, the main eating place is in a side street, but, the tables are actually in this busy little square.
It's a good place to people watch, whilst sitting there I saw a wedding in the Church on the square.
Favorite Dish: We chose the menu del dias, good value at €12, three courses including wine and water.
Starting with a seafood vol au vont, mules next and a nice chocolate cake to finish with, all washed down with a bottle of white wine.

They were both very delicious meals.

Let me start by saying Reus is a beautiful city I love to visit. Crowded Street parking can be a problem so park in one of the convient underground parking garages. They are inexpensive clean and safe.

The Reus Airport is small. Really small. There are exactly three cities with a direct connection (Cologne, Hanover, London) and two airlines flying there (HLX and Ryan Air). It has the feeling of a bus station, but less busy. You can take a public bus to Reus and from there a train to Barcelona, but you can also buy a ticket with the private bus company that has their office in the entrance hall - not wasting any time while waiting for your bags! HLX passengers get the ticket half-price, you can buy a return-ticket and on your return day there is exactly one bus for your flight!
For departure day they sell little snacks and drinks, but nothing else.
It takes 90 minutes to get from Reus to Barcelona city center which is okay - there are no long ways at the airport, your luggage is there within minutes and the bus leaves as soon as everybody have their bags in the bus.
If you get a chance to fly cheaply to Reus then do it!
I paid 30 Euro return from Cologne by the way!
