Why not take a long walk along the promenade. Salou has beautiful sea front, stretching from the Cambrils end right to the far North of Salou which is quite a few miles, taking you along the beautiful beaches. It is flat with plenty of seats to sit on along the way, plus plenty of free toilets.
It is flat and very wheelchair friendly.
The walk way is lined with mature Palm trees and fountains which play most of the day.
At the week ends, there is a laser show of the fountains as they dance to the music, it's quite an amazing spectacular to watch, so check the times and dates.
Be it day or night, a lovely thing to do while in Salou is to take a stroll along the promenade and admire the fountains. Beautiful and sunny during the day, but lit up and pretty at night. See my photos for more.
This street is more than a kilometre long and coincides in length with the Levante Beach.
A characteristic of The Paseo Jaime I is its palm trees which line the promenade from one end to the other and also the wide variety of flowers and plants. On the mosaic, which decorates the ground, we can find a series of heraldic shields of some of the noblemen who accompanied King James I to Majorca. The area between the promenade and the beach provides all the necessary facilities and services, as well as flower gardens and fountains - ideal for taking a leisurely stroll.
