Carnaval Sitges 2007

Everybody in the town, tall, small, older, younger, fat, slim, drag queens, wonderful dancers or just funny people. Absolutely everybody is on the streets during the carnival with their own made dresses. There's no discrimination, is not necessary to be beautiful and/or great dancers to participate. All what you have to do is having fun!

Nobody sleeps in 3 days, and the best moments are the Sunday night and the Tuesday night, because it's when they made a big parade through the streets of the town.

The Sitges carnival is very famous in this area and many people come to see it. If you want to come, please check first the exactly dates, as they changes every year.

The legend says that when Jesus was born, 3 Magic Kings arrived from Orient bringing gifts. Is tradition in Spain, not only in Sitges, that the 3 kings comes on the night of the 5 of January bringing presents for the children, so the previous days all the children have a wonderful behaviour, if not, they wouldn't have anything, and the morning of the 6 of January all of them are very happy and excited with their new toys.

Sitges also follows this tradition, so you can see the Three Magic Kings Cavalcade every 5 of January in the afternoon. Is the children's party and is very sweet, even more because the Kings and their pages throw millions of candys through the streets!
