The bars along the promenade in Sitges are great for those who can't stand the summer heat... and those who enjoy eating and drinking.
In restaurant Pic Nic they serve excellent cod fish baked in the salt.

El Cau Ferrat.
Sitges is also know as the place where gay people meat each other and spend their holidays .... we did not know that when we visited the place, but we saw .... and heard it after our trip to Sitges.
This place was the meeting point of some Catalan Intellectuals at the beginning of the 20th century.

The "maricel" is not a single building but a group of buildings behind the old church (esglesia de sant bartolomeu i santa tecla). originally it was a hospital, now they have been turned into an art museum.
What I liked about this palace was not the museum itself, but the architecture: it's just anothe example of wonderful Catalan architecture of the turn of the century. The palace may look old but it is not, unless you can call 1910 old.
The architect of this little jewel is Miquel Utrillo.

The Romantic Museum, here's one museum that did not move me. The official name is "Can Llopis" and it's an 18th century that has been very well preserved , depicting the way of life of The Romantic Museum "Can Llopis" is a house built at the end of the 18th century catalan bourgeoisie house. What you can see inside is a typical neoclassical house and furniture.
To make it worse there's a doll collection of 400 pieces! It drove me nuts!
it's still a good place to visit for lovers of this kind of architecture

This old medieval building, located next to the church used to be the old hospital of the city, now is one of it´s symbols.

It's really a symbol of the place. It's not very big inside but take a look at it. In one side (outside it) there is a balcony where you can take a time to relax watching the blue see.

Walk in the old side wich is really amazing. The narrow and white streets, the beautiful houses and buildings. It’s like coming back to pirates times.
