  • cycling along old railway lines to an ornithologic

It's possible to go cycling from Gandesa to the end of the river, el delta de l'Ebre, following old railway lines which are out of use now, .The way goes through long and dark tunnels and amid forest since the region is quite mountanious. The way has a very good state of conservation. In Benifallet you pass through a delerict train station and in the village you can rent canoes to enjoy the waters of the river Ebre, which is the most important in the Iberian peninsula in terms of amount of water. Or you can taste the oranges and mandarines they cultivate by the sides of the river.Or better, smell the perfume of the flowers of the oranges trees saturating the air.In Pinell de Brai there's an oil factory built in the art-noveau style.Between Gandesa and Pinell de brai took place some of the most cruel episodes of the Spanish Civil War.Even today it is possible to find remains of the battles scattered over the fields.
If you are passionate about ornithology go to the Delta of the river Ebre. It is worth the visit. You'll never regret.

I seid this in another pages, because is true. Delta de l'Ebre is a gret place to go for a VT. It begin in Tortosa. There's little bit people, and is a really curious land, builded for the Ebre river. I can see in since two years that people go more to the Delta. Maybe in a few years it will be like another rouristic place. For the moment, is great. You can see my girl near a tipical hose (nobody lives today in) of the Delta.
