The Dali Museum in Figueres
Figueres is well known for the Salvador Dali museum. It's worth seeing, but be prepared for long lines, rude people and a high priced gift shop. If you absolutely have to have a souvenier "melting clocks" picture or "egg", then I suggest browsing in some of the other nearby shops. Many of them have the same things at much lower prices. Find a nice cafe afterwards, have a Cafe Con Leche or whatever your treat of choice might be, and people watch until your blood pressure returns to normal. If you're a huge Dali fan, I would suggest a trip to Dali's house in Port Lligat (near Cadaques). The setting is drop dead gorgeous and they limit the number of people touring the house at one time so it doesn't feel like you're going to get trampled if you linger for a minute. There's a gift shop here, too, but its much more pleasant than the one in Figueres.
