Artiga de Lin is a fantastic place, and more when the path is solitary, as it happened to us when we did the excursion in December. If there isn't too much snow probably is the nicest time of the year to walk to Artiga de Lin, as the snow always makes all more well-loved.
To get information about where to start this outing, go to the tourism office, in the center of Vielha. The place to start to climb is not very far away.

If you came from Vielha to the Aneu valleys, you will find fantastic views on the way. The higher point is Port de la Bonaigua, and near here there's a charming pub-restaurant to stop, rest, and enjoy the landscape.

Salardu is a little town just to 10 minuts from Vielha. Some years ago it was my favourite town of all Vall d'Aran, but now the enlargement of the road and excessive tourism has harmed a bit its charming atmosphere. Nevertheless, the town is very beautyful and it has an interesting church.
