Albir has quite a nice beach but it is pebbles and not sand although there are sandy areas for volley ball etc. There is a nice promenade that leads to the next town of Altea. It is not too developed only one or two hotels restaurants and also a camp ground.

Walk to the Sierra Helada lighthouse
Take a walk (2,5 km) to the lighthouse of Albir and back. Its the old road from Albir to Benidorm, but is now closed for driving. Its used by the public as running "slope" and sunday picnic area. If you got a good portion of fantasy, you can find the mountaintroll and a womans torso in the rocks of Sierra Helada...
The wiew from the several wiewpoints are fantastic.
A long main road runs along side the beach were there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and a market on most days.A quieter area than the centre of town but lively enough at night.
