There are so many nice restaurants in
Alicante and along the Costa Blanca. We like the CASA JULIO restaurant so much, because you get excellent spanish sea food from Paella to Gambas, sitting directly with you feet in the sand.
Perfect for lunch and a wonderful experience for a dinner at night.
Favorite Dish: Gambas is our favourite dish as you can imagine looking at the picture.
No more words needed I guess.

In most spanish cafeterias (small local restaurants) they serve small appetizers or snacks. If you go up to the counter to order them and eat them at the counter/bar then the price is a lot cheaper. Once you sit down at a table and service is required the price of the food jumps.
Favorite Dish: A great quick and cheap meal is the tortilla espanol. It is an omlette with potatoes served on fresh bread. It is sooooooo good.
Some places serve it with some sort of tomato sauce (which is even better) It is really cheap (less than 3 euros for a big sandwich) and it is super filling. Most local cafeterias and restaurants sell it.

You cannot go wrong with this restaurant, situated in the heart of the commercial area of Alicante, and the excellent quality of all the ingredients used to prepare the most traditional dishes of the region.

One of my favorite restaurant in Alicante is Dársena, situated on the port. You can enjopy a delicious meal overlooking the wonderful Mediterranean sea.
Favorite Dish: The cuisine of Alicante is based on rice. There are many varieties: dry rices, juicy rices and "honey-like" rices. The choise of rice dishes in Dársena is huge and they are all delicious. Most of the use the traditional ingredients of the area, but there are also some innovative creations which incorporate influences from other parts of Spain.

Address: In the sport harbor of Alicante.
A friendly, family run restaurant offering international cuisine as well as local dishes such as paella and calderos. The food is exquisitely prepared and presented beautifully with an extensive wine list to choose from. The metre is knowledgeable about his wines and will help you find the right wine for your meal if you are unsure like I was. My salmon with shrimp sauce was superb and I got spoiled for choice with the dessert menu. It offers stunning views of Campello's port in a relaxed atmosphere. I had a hard time leaving my candle lit table. I can thoroughly recommend it.
Favorite Dish: I started with the melted goat cheese and caramelised onion salad with honey mustard dressing. The flavours were rich and complemented each other very well. I wanted more! For my main course I had fresh salmon with a delicious shrimp sauce garnished with sautéed potatoes. The salmon was delicious and the sauce just added enough texture and flavour to make a more interesting dish with out overpowering the flavours. Try the Brownie for dessert, but make sure you have enough room for it!!

There are many cafes serving mostly english food along the seafront. Quite cheap prices, also a Mcdonalds or Burgerking can be found in a few of the livliest spots of the town.(Although the Burgerking was not very cheap, probably around £5 or £6 for a chicken meal which I felt was a rip off!).
You will love it here if you love the local piella cuisine, I am not much of a fish lover so I found myself eating Pizza or noodles most evenings.

Address: All around Benidorm.
In teh Hotel i have all included, all the meals, therefore I nver tried any restaurant in Benidorm..but don't hurry: in Benidorm there are plenty of restaurants, opening late at night (some of they at open air, and with music), for all tastes..from Spanish food to chisnese and fast- food lika Macdonals and Burger King, and Pizza Hut..you will have everything!!!!!
Favorite Dish: In the Hotel Gran Bali, the food was buffet..and such a bufett!!! There´s plenty of food for all tastes.
Thre were much salads, bread, a hot selection of meats and fishes that changes from lunch to dinner , and from one day to another.
I eat so much during 10 days..the breakfast has so much to offer: eggs, cerals, diferent varieties of bread, saussages, bacon, cereals, cokies...even tortila (is one of typical food in Sapin - is like an ommolet but made with potatoes too) for the beguinig of the day.
Only a negative thing: for the dessert the fruits are very good, with a good variety but the the rest are very artifical..very bad ..
I stayed for 2 nigts in Hotel Torre Dourada, near Gran Hotel Bali and the food is better..and it's a 3 Star Hotel. The Gran Bali is 4 star. They even have in Torre Dourada typical food of the region like paella.
But if you have the oportunity to eat outside the Hotel, you can always tried some grilled fish.. we are in a seaside city.
You never get out of Benidorm without trying paella.

No specific place.
Favorite Dish: Many of the restaurants have the local Paella.. rice 'a la alicantina'. Rice and chicken base served with fish and shellfish. Being a seaport, fish dishes predominate, it is worth experimenting with them of particular note is the 'gazpacho de mero' (swordfish stew).
