Spanish use two pin plugs!
Luggage and bags: A fold up bag is useful to bring presents back.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If going out of season consider taking a small umbrella. They are expensive to buy in Spain.
Miscellaneous: If you bring your alarm clock radio with you as I do, and it runs off the mains, don't forget to bring your converter plugs with you as Spanish plug sockets are TWO PIN ROUND !
Voltage is the same as in England BUT where as our voltage is closer to 240v AC, Spanish voltage can go as low as 206v AC, especially at peak demand times. Your appliance will work o.k. but say, a kettle will take longer to boil.
Many people bring their mobile phones with them but DO remember that a call from the UK will cost YOU even to receive the call. If you are going for a long period, consider buying a Spanish mobile phone, two if you are going with company. Then you can keep in touch with each other when at different locations and CHEAPLY.

Pack for the Beach
Luggage and bags: Bright whatever luggage or bag you're comfortable with.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Shorts and a bathing suit for the day. Pants and a nice shirt or two for night. If you forget it at home (like I forgot to bring thongs) you can buy it while you're there. They have cheap shops with beach gear and nice shops with all other types of clothes from casual to dressy.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: If you forget it you can buy it while you're there. This isn't the Serengeti.
Photo Equipment: As with the toiletries this place is pretty well stocked so I would guess you would be able to find it here if you need it. Keep in mind that it will probably cost a bit more since this is primarily a tourist city and you know how people like to screw tourists.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Bring your beach towels, umbrellas, leche de sol, thongs, goggles, etc. If you forget anything fear not! You should be able to pick it up at a fairly reasonable price at one of the millions of places selling beach gear. Don't worry you won't have to go to the beach naked.
Miscellaneous: You're on vacation at the beach. What else could you possible need?

It can be cold in spain too!!!
Luggage and bags: Take a spare bag or take a case that you would not mind throwing away and buying a bigger one. As things are so cheap you might not be able to stop buying especially duty free and kids clothes.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If going in winter i.e Dec to Mar take warm clothes as well as summer particularly jumpers and troussers as spain can be pretty cold without them. You may even wish to purchase some of your clothes when you get there as it is very cheap. Also old t-shirts kids can wear in the pool and sun hats and glasses.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Remember sun tan lotion and aftersun because it can be very hot as well as cold.
Photo Equipment: A camera of video recorder are a must as some of the views are beautiful and people who have never been to benidorm will not believe the size of some of the building
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Rember a waterproof jacket
Miscellaneous: Travel plug/adapters are needed if traveling from uk as Spain uses two prong plugs.
