once in Benidorm you should visit the island. 10 minute boat ride from the port and you can have the splendid views of Benidorm skyline. a marine reservation on the waters around, that you can visit beneath and take a look at the fishes and underwater life. note: somehow disapointing the fishes thou'... if you already did some good snorkling well, just stick to that memorie and avoid the visit they organize to visit the life underwater. seing Benidorm skyline should be suficient.

    Benidorm Island

We were looking for a boat to take us to Calpe, but we ended up paying 10 euro each to go to Benidorm island. Included in the fee was a short trip once on the island in a sub aqua boat where you can see some underwater sealife. There is a cafe on the island that serves snacks and drinks and there is a path to the top of the island. Another feature of the island is that it is a bird sanctuary and home to the very rare Mediterranean Yellow legged Gull and other seabirds such as the Storm Petrel etc.

    Big tree

The central square of Benidorm. On this picture you see a tree that people in Belgium have in their homes. Most people here don't have any idea that they can become so big in Spain. Here in Belgium it is just a nice plant.By the way on the square are lots of other things and sometimes special events like a book market, artisanal products market, xmas market etc.

    Benidorm island

Benidorm island not really much to see, but,if you have some time left go with a glass bottom boat from Benidorm harbour to the island. On the island are only peacocks and other birds. You have a magnificent view .The whole coastline of Benidorm is visible.

The poniente beach is one of Benidorms white sandy beaches. Most of the times it is not so crowded as the levante beach, especially if you go further away from parc elx. A minus for this beach is that behind the boulevard is a big highway.

    View of Benidorm

This was the view I got from the place where I was staying at. I have been told that up there in the mountains you can see the gap between the rocks which is where the island originated from. Apparenlty the huge boulder rolled out to sea to form the island which we can now see today. I'm not sure if that is accurate though as I didn't get to visit the island at the time.

    Gomez at the beach

The beach is very long so on a hot summers day this place is often very busy. Be sure to take some sandals if you want to walk around on the beach as the sand gets extremely hot. In the background is the island just off the coast, which you can get boat trips to. On your way along the beach you will probably notice many beautifully crafted sand sculptures, which I think you needed to pay a little money if you wanted to take a picture.

Benidorm proudly boasts two of the biggest, cleanest and most popular beaches in Spain. The two huge sweeping crescents stretch for a total of 6 kilometres and are known as "Levante" and "Poniente" - Spanish for sunrise and sunset. With consistently high quality Blue Flag bathing water, lifeguard patrols, a wealth of water sports and beachfront cafes, the beaches of Benidorm can rival the best in the world.

This is the best viewpoint in all Benidorm, because you can see very nice views of both beaches,Island and the Mediterranean sea.

It is located on the old town, next to San Jaime Church. As I said in the page intro, this is one of most visited places in all the city, everyone that come to Benidorm for first time, must go to to Mirador del Castillo and see the awesome views!.
You must to go downstairs to reach the lookpoint.
