The Lemon Express is the name of a tourist train that dates back to the 1920's.

The train sets off from Benidorm and ends in Gata de Gorgos some hour and half later, passing through towns such as Altea, Calpe, Benissa and Teulada. In Gata you can wander around and maybe buy some of the local wicker products or visit the railway bar and shop. The outward journey is an opportunity to take in the scenery and take some pictures. The highlights will be pointed out to you by your guide and on the return journey the fun starts with a champagne party with music.

The train can be booked through tour operators or your hotel and your ticket will include pick up to and from the station.

Mercadona, the biggest supermarket chain in Spain, which is next to the Benidorm Clinic along the Avenida Alfonso Puchades. You can buy here all the needs for your living in your appartment. Bus-line 12 will drive you to it, though a walk it's worth a while. All prices are in Euros for now and drinks correspond to 750CC bottles unless otherwise stated.

Open 09.00 - 21.00 h.
Monday to Saturday, open Sunday mornings, and stay open thru lunchtime

I`v been to the medieval night. I just went and seen a thomas cook tourist rep in the hotel across the road from where i was staying. She organised the tickets and the coach, the coach will go around a few hotels picking everyone up. Best booking a couple of days earlier as sometimes the coach maybe full.

Travel back into the medival times, have dinner while the knights fight for their honor in a tournament. Food, wine, dancing and regular old world merry making will ensure one of those great holiday nights to remember.

hotel bali

one of the tallest buildings and the tallest hotel in spain. the most "grand" feature in Benidorm. before going there i' ve read here on VT and on benidorm sites, the existence of it, obviously. and so do you. anyway on the sight of it you be amazed. one beautifull skyscrapper. it is possible to see it for or five miles before arriving Benidorm if your drive the alicant/valencia highway. spanish highways allways have good travel signs but seing bali from a distance yu'll know that yu are close. at close range it is a beautifull hotel. they provide a tour to the top of the building for you to see Benidorm attonishing views.

almost the meeting point of Benidorm. a rocky promontory with great views to both levante and poniente beaches.
if you want to go either way passing there is a must. at night a very wonderfull site full of activities. painters. caricaturists, and handy craft men and women selling their works. musicians playing. and last but not least yourself, and hundreds of tourists crossing and on the way to the bars, discos, and even shopping. at nite or by day light get your cameras ready and take wonderfull photos.

The height without aerial is 186m and with 210m. Gran Bali Is the highest building of Spain. Also the heighest hotel of Europe. On the top there is an open air platform for visitors, you have a magnificent view over Benidorm and surroundings. It is best to go up with one of the panoramic lifts. It is really sensational.

Ancient tower

If you go for a walk in the mountains behind the Rincon de Loix, thats at the end of the levante beach, you will see this beautiful ancient tower. It feels as if you're all alone in the world when you go there. Its funny because a few hundred meters back you're in one of the busiest resorts of Europe.
