Mundomar is a large Marine and animal theme park at the east end of the town and is a fun day out for the kids with plenty for them to do and see. Animal displays, dolphin shows and childrens playground to name a few.

    Go play with the dolphins

This is a Marine exotic animal park. Specially if you are travelling with your children this is a place that is not to be missed. You're going to be spoilt for choice here and the kids will love it. A dolphinarium, parrot show, flamingos, turtles, sea lions, a bat cave , penguins, a children's park, and a galleon. That's right, a galleon, and from inside it you can enjoy a different view of what’s going on from under the water. The park is well equipped with a number of bars and cafeterias. This park is open till the end of October. Tickets cost 17 Euros for adults and about 13 for children under 12. You also have an optin iof buying a combined ticket with Aqualandia, which is also a good option to save some money. Check out for the timings which are different in summer and winter.

This is an aquatic and exotic wildlife park. It is absoultly fantastic and children old and young will love it. You can have your picture taken with a host of different animals including dolphins and sealions. You can also help with feeding and can watch them performing in shows. This is a must for anyone who loves animals.

    Snogging Sealions at Mundomar

    The shows here are amazing

This all stems from the picture on my home page and, no, its not doctored, i did actually do that.

Well Mundormar is not exactlly in Denia, its in Benidorm but its only a 35-40 min drive. I have to admit though that the reason i went to Bendorm that day was actually to go to Aqualandia. Hence the bikini and sarong, only to find that it had closed down for the season a couple of weeks ago. Chris, the other half, had already said the animal showsa are really excellent so we planned our day around them. First off was the sealion show. They put on a wonderfull show, more like they are acting than performing tricks. The whole way through i kept squwaking in his ear that i want to kiss a sealion.

When the photo opportunities w#came up at the end i went running down as fast as i could. Everybody in front of me was having the box standard next to or being hugged by the sealion. Not being able to speak a word of spanish (excl beer and the bill) i gestured that i wanted a kiss. The trainer gave some hand movement and instantly the sealion planted a big wet one straight on my lips.

The whole day i stunk of sardines, somehow i dont think Chris was too impressed.

But from that day forth, part of my heart has always been with my sealion.
