The Railway Tavern: Great Bar - Footy and Atmosphere
soupd profile photo
soupd 10 reviews

Yep, not only does the railway serve great home made food, its also the place in Denia to watch all the football- Premier League, SPL, Champions League..... plus rugby, F1 and loads more. 2 TV's and loads of systems.
When you're passing, they have their noticeboard outside so you can check whats coming up. Plus they do a pub quiz every thursday night (8pm)
Good set up with plenty of seating, the TV's are easy to see, and with a nice long bar to lean on and order your pints.
UK papers supplied daily, plus the local rags/mags to sift through.

Pints are good - San Miguel and Beamish are on draught along with more.
Easy to find and in town.

Dress Code: No, its a pub.

Paddy O'Connells: Good Irish Bar
soupd profile photo
soupd 10 reviews

Paddys is a typical 'Irish Theme' bar, and i quite like it. it's got no irish staff, or anything vaguely like- all spanish, mainly spanish customers, but you're bound to bump into the odd irish/brit/foreigner while you're here.
They show footy, rugby et al, just dont expect them to turn off the music whilst it's on.
the pints are at the dearer end of the scale, but thats no suprise as all these theme bars are the same. They have also started up their old sunday night live music tradition again, which i hear is usually great - more to come on that soon hopefully!
Where this bar shines, is quite simply, it's atmosphere (craic would be too strong a word). The spanish love irish theme bars, so get down there on a fri/sat or sun especially, to mill about in a packed venue.
They have a great beer garden in the summer, and their pints of guinness are decent enough. And you can pick up all the local rags/mags to see what else is happening in Denia.

If you're looking for Premier League Football, a better option is the Railway Tavern.

Dress Code: Its an irish bar - the only requirement is to have lots of pints!

Guinness and Murphys will welcome you in a wooden and traditionnal Irish sytle pub. Large choice of other spirits or soft drinks serve by efficient friendly staff ;-) You will ever find nice people there especially at the weekends.

It is also one of the rare place in Dénia where live music are played on every sunday nights with bands. A pleasant and lively athmosphere with a large courtyard terrace.

Opening hours:

Town Centre: Town centre streets are lively

Go into the town centre in the evenings. During high season the town is buzzing. All along the sea front there are bars and restaurants. there are stalls selling everything from bags, belts, kaftans books etc. The main street (Marques de Campo) is especially good in the evening. Cafe bars are all along the street. There is often street entertainment too.

Denia town: Night life is very low key
Wendy-H profile photo

Nightlife in Denia tends to be very low key.
the main activity if your over 35 would be eating and drinking.
During the summer months the town of Denia itself gets very busy. the area opposite the port is very bustling with bars and also stalls selling everything from candles to t-shirts, handbags to kaftans.
The main street is the tree lined marques de campo. Here you can sit outside and have a drink and pop into the shops at the same time. Food, drink and shops. Bliss!!
You can get a taxi on this street, except on a saturday when the street is closed to traffic. then you have to walk to the (port) end and the taxi rank is to the right.

Dress Code: Smart casual.
