Set Menu for 8 Euros 50: Place Next to El Port.

    Lamb was simply heaven.

    Hello
On our last trip to Denia we found this amazing restaurant along the seafront. It is next to El Port ( standing with your back to the sea facing the restaurants it is to the right of El Port, next door). They had a board outside with a set menu listed on it. It was 8 Euros 50 for a 3 course meal which included one glass of wine or soft drink. We decided to try it out as it seemed great value and also looked nice. We decided to sit in the outside area which was undercover and had heating( it was November). The service was very good and people were very friendly .

Favorite Dish: The chairs were comfy and we were soon bought our drinks. We then were given bread with garlic butter and cold meats. We were given a choice of 3 starters and 3 mains and 3 desserts. I asked for the Quiche Lorraine and hubby had garlic mushrooms. They arrived 5 mins later and they were very impressive. Mine was wonderful. Hubbies was very tasty too. We were surprised how good the starters were for the price of the meal in total. After a few mins our main was bought over. Wow, we were very happy again. Hubby had ordered a rack of lamb and I had roast beef. The lamb was perfection. Melt in the mouth. Beef was also very nice. The meal was superb and very satisfying. Then came the desserts. I did not have one as I was so full. Hubby had this flan thing which had fresh fruit on top with cream. I tried one spoonful and it was lovely. All in all the meal was fantastic and we went back 2 more times and had diff things( chicken curry and diff starters etc). But the best thing was the lamb. Mouth watering for sure. This meal was only 8 Euros 50 for 3 courses including one drink. I really thought it was fantastic value and worth much more than that. We will be going back again and again. I like this place more than El Port now. 10 out of 10. You have to try the set menus. We felt relaxed and welcome and high rec this place to others.

    Tasca Eulalia: Great local food

by Tripack Updated Jul 3, 2006

    4.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    Marqus de Campo street

The Marqués de Campo becomes a pedestrian street at the end of the afternoon. All shops, bars and restaurants stay open late. A nice address is the Tasca Eulalia with outdoor street terrace (ideal for people watching) or inside. Local cuisine with all Valenciana specialities. Many Spanish people come to eat here so for sure it a good local address. Efficient service and reasonnable price. A must taste.

Favorite Dish: You could enjoy there a drink, some tapas or a good meal...

    My good choice was:
    - Chipirones fritos (litlle fried squid, my favourite sea food plate)
    - Entrecote a Caballo (excellent mix with slice of rib steak, potatoes and eggs)

And order one local Muscatello for the digestion ;-)

  • Bar Danun: Great German menu

    by Wendy-H Written Mar 17, 2006

Very tasty authentic German food. Good location on main road. Very nice to sit outside on a sunny day.
All the food was well cooked and presented.
Denia has a large German population. this is the first German restaurant we have tried and would definitely go again.
As with all restaurants in Spain - dogs are welcome!!

Favorite Dish: This was our first visit. we tried the Menu del Dia. (spanish for menu of the day)
We had a thick soup to start, it had cabbage and ham in it. Very tasty and filling.
The main course was potatoes, a creamy cabbage dish and sausages. It was very good.
the dessert was a creme caramel type. Im not sure of the exact names of these dishes as we were the only English people there and the waitress didnt speak very good english.
Only fault was the menu was only in German, and as we dont speak any german we had to guess what the items were!

  • Tenere: Beautiful view and parrots too!

    by Wendy-H Written Jul 20, 2005

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

On the beachfront in the Las Brisas area of Denia about 3.5km outside the town.
The restaurant is set on the beach. You can eat on the patio area, just under cover or inside the restaurant itself. at the back of the undercover area are several colourful parrots which make for a noisy and lively meal.
You can just have a drink, snack or a full meal. We have just had sandwiches and salads and have also eaten inside having 3 courses with wine.

Favorite Dish: Mussels in a sauce.
    Lamb chops
Beef entricote in a pepper sauce

All the food is really tasty and well prepared and presented.

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Small unpretentious restaurant on Las Marinas Road about 3km outside Denia.
This seems to be run by a couple. He cooks, she waits on. It is very small and friendly, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome.
Dont be put off by the basic decor - The food is first class. we have eaten here about 8 times now and we try something different every time and have not been disappointed.
It is really good value. For 3 people with starters, main courses, coffees, and 3 rounds of drinks it was less than 30 euros!

Favorite Dish: Shark fin soup and spring roll for starter and beef in oyster sauce, beef in hot sauce and a duck dish in salt & pepper.
Try the "three delicious" fried rice. Just dont order one each or you will never finish it.

Typical Spanish restaurant in Denia town. On the seafront opposite the port. We went on an evening and tried the menu del dia (menu of the day). This is excellent value and was under 9 euros per person for Bread, Wine or beer or soft drink, starter, main cours and dessert.
Lots of choices in each section with several varieties of fresh local fish.

Favorite Dish: Seafood soup to start and sole for main course. We also tried mussels for starters and pork chops for main.

    Mandarin Chinese: Chinese

    by rachel_sun Written Jan 7, 2005

This chinese restuarant is about 2 miles along Oliva/Denia coastroad from Denia. From Denia drive along coastroad about two miles and then you will see traffic lights.Turn left and you will see chinese and park up.You can see it from road too.It has huge pillars outside. We have had some fantastic meals here. Our friends in Spain took us here and the food was simply superb. We had a set meal for 4 people and it was aq 3 course meal with wine for an amazing £6 a head.We had a choice of starters, soup or salad or spring rolls.I had the spring rolls. They were huge and very delicious.

Favorite Dish: We then had a botle of wine included in the price. We then had a set meal with a selection of foods.Noodles, rice, sate, pork and chicken dishes. The food was bought out on a huge plate and put on a plate warmer. There was plenty to feed 4 people and some.We then had either a coffee or icecream to finish the meal. There are also set meals for 2 people.Hubby and I had a set meal for two boxing day and it was just as good.Set meal for two does not include wine though. There were 3-4 different set meals for 4 people you can pick from too. Some slightly cheaper than others and different foods etc.
This chinese does fantastic meals at fantastic prices. We had a takaway too which was as tasty.Best value is the set meals. You can order sep things but they are more expensive.Next Time I go I will take a pic of the food and get a menu with more details, phone number etc for you. They had house wine which was 3 euros a bottle.Rose was awful.White was good.Red was good.Avoid Rose.

    by rachel_sun Written Mar 23, 2004
    stunning coastline

I dont normally eat at Mac D's but found it good when getting to Denia on my first night as i wanted something that was fast and i could quickly eat after a long flight.Mac D is on the Denia Ondara main road as described in last tip and next to the petrol station and big diy shop.Along the road with all the warehouse furniture shops. It has nice gardens with outside and inside seating.I had a burger with chips and a strawberry milkshake.I love milklshakes from here.

Favorite Dish: It tasted good and was like half price of uk.Think it cost us ?6 or 9 euros for 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 milkshakes. You can park on road or in carpark. It was clean and tidy and people were friendly.
