    BEAUTIFUL SCULPTURES ALL AROUND DENIA

So i bought a house in Denia. Why?Because it is a beautiful area in a great location. It is only an hour drive from Alicante airport and set in a perfect location. There is a main road from the airport and it is fast and easy to get to.There are nice resorts each side of Denia too.Oliva and Gandia to the North and Javea,Moraira,Calpe,Altea and Benidorm to the South. And of course Alicante.Gandia is very Spanish and has a very long beach of fine sand. There are plenty of good hotels in Gandia.Gandia is about a 20 min drive from Denia.Gandia is popular all year round due to the mild climate.Oliva which is only about a 10 min drive from Denia is also popular with Spanish people. There are plenty of orange groves in this area and the oranges are very sweet.Oliva coastline is high rise building free.So it's a pretty beach. The beach is lined with small one story houses.Oliva Nova which is about 4 miles from my house is a fantastic Golf Course designed by Severiano Ballesteros.

    DENIA IS VERY CLASSY

I discovered Denia purely by chance. Two years ago I took my parents to Costa Blanca as they were thinking of buying a holiday home and so was I.We checked the South out and found that it was too expensive and the scenery was not as nice as the North. The North is alot greener and more scenic and I found the coastline more pretty and unspolit and it was also less built up.We drove along the main coastroad and came to Denia. It looked quite nice and had a lovely promenade so we stopped and checked it out.It looked a up and coming place and the beach was wonderful. We drove along the coast road towards Oliva and saw a huge sign advertising bungalows for sale(Se Vende).

    WALK ALONG DENIA SEA FRONT

This area of Spain was under Moorish rule for about 500 years. The Moors introduced more advanced agricultural methods and new foods such as sugar cane, onions, rice and other veggies. They also built advanced irrigation systems and bought along the tradition of Fiestas and fireworks. This part of Spain is also very fertile. There are orchards of orange and lemon trees and the land is very green and lush.Loads of tropical plants, palms and cacti everywhere.Rice is also grown in the North.Hence the very popular dish Paella. My fav.
