A fort incorporated in the ancient walled grounds of the city and which is accessed through a tunnel excavated in the rock. The highest point of the castle where the cemetery is located . The area offers the visitor, because of its height, the best views of its surroundings like: the prairie and the water reservoir of Guadalest.

The Rock of Alcala, is a rocky peak that rises straight up from the surrounding land. Access is difficult. A cylindrical body, today only its lower half may be seen, with masonry factory. Located on a critical point once used to watch over the valley as a watchtower protecting the northeast side of the castle. Due to its unusual appearance, it has become one of the most well known images of the town.

This is another interesting place to see during your visit to Guadalest. It is called El Arca de Noe,or Animal Sanctuary, like a nice and small zoo located on the mountains.Almost all wildlife that you can see here have been injured or having an illness,so this is also a health recuperation center for wildlife. It is located just outside of Guadalest town in the main road to Alcoy.
This is a picture taken at the entrance.
