Terra Mitica at Benidorm is one of the largest theme parks in Europe.
There are five themed areas:
Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia, Las Islas.
There is a new inverted rollercoaster this year, called Tizona.
The park is open most of the year, and has late night openings during the Summer.

Go and visit the Cuevas de las Calaveras, which have been upgraded by the Valencian tourist authority.
See 50,000 years of geological history, with its wierdly formed limestone sculptures.
There is a souvenir shop and cafe outside, and good parking.
The whole area is wheelchair accessable.

The distance from Alicante airport is approx 95 km. It is not much more from Valencia airport.
This equates to about 1 hour on the autopista
A-7 (motorway)
A more leisurely journey via the coast road N-332, will take longer, as it passes through most of the towns.

The village is set in a valley, having the lower mountain slopes terraced for growing mainly almonds, and citrus fruit. They also grow olives here. The almonds are harvested and are still dried on the...
