The first impression is the restaurant's look which is in form of a ship which attracts the guests first. But this restaurant is locally famous for their fine menus especially fish dishes and tapas. It is recommended to us by a Spanish lady and a language teacher from Torrevieja. The setting inside is like that of a fishermen's boat with all those decors pertaining to sealife. Tables and chairs looks very sturdy and are made of dark woods that gives a baroque style. Only they are set very close to the next table. We love the outside hut which represents a Mediterranean atmosphere.
This simple restaurant is one of a kind lining along the beach of La Mata. We love their kebabs and enjoy the sea atmosphere very much and the setting is comfortably cozy. Pizzas are also not to miss here. They have fine salads too. Don't be surprised,
they do served with plastic knife and forks. Unless you ask....maybe ..... we didn't.
This place must be famous for locals, as a 90% of the people there were Spanish and most of them were habitual. Even in January was full from 8,30 till 12,00 and people keep on entering and sitting and waiting for tables.
Food was good, we all had meat, but the fish looked incredible too
At the paseo martimo, there were a few terrazas to enjoy a Saturday afternoon under the sun.
we first stop here as they know the owners.
A old Spanish friend told me once that British once they like a place, they are very loyal to the place, and it is true, but I think I have a little of Brit. now too lol
I could not resist adding a second entry for this restaurant just to show the exterior design. If it was not for the modern apartment block sat upon its main deck you could be mistaken for thinking it was actually a ship. What added to the nautical theme was Paul excellent rendition of Captain Jack Sparrow from the movie Pirates of the Carribean, which incidently we watched afterwards in his apartment. Until the DVD got stuck.... so we missed the ending.
The outside and inside of this restaurant have been designed to resemble a Galleon. The decor is quite fascinating and adds to the popularity of this bar.
Favorite Dish: I had the Peppered fillet steak, which I really enjoyed, but they had a very diverse selection of food including many fish dishes. I did tuck into one of Paul´s delicious Goat Chops too, the first time I´d tried goat and I´m sure not the last.
Fine Austrian cuisine located just a few steps away from the Calle Mayor.
Favorite Dish: A good dining place. Salmon in creamsauce served with green salads is savoury. Not to forget, vino de la casa .
Wonderful surroundings! Fantastic view towards the park and the coast. Fine menus and friendly service. Very romantic during full moon! Pricey!
Centrally located just next to the bus station. Ideal for a short pause after a walk or after shopping or grocery.
Cosy place and friendly sevice personals. Asian has many variations of dishes. Worth dining!
Favorite Dish: Thai salads
