In front of the Palau de la Musica, at the Turia Gardens, every night there is a free show with fountains moving and being lighted at the rythm of classical music.

We found this place the first night and it had
the 'waw'-effect on us. It is an early 20th century
completely renovated market. But the fish ,
fruit and dried hams are gone and instead
there came some bars. Some specialized in
coffee , others serve beer and ...
There bars are completely in glass and
the lightning is superb.
If you still want to do some shopping , the
neighbourhood has some very posh shops
and on floor -1 there are some shops left.

I just love the music styles of Black, Funky and specially the mixture of funky jazz. A special place to watch newly formed groups or even listen to some little known group or singer. This is a small place and open throughout the week, which is not very normal to find and with quite some ambiance. Here you can mingle around with university students, many foreigners and quite some music lovers of the 60´s and 70´s. The bar is great. My favorite drink here is lime cordial with dominican brown rum, give it a try and enjoy. The live shows normally start around 11 pm. and there is an entry of 10 Euros till the show gets over which is around midnight.
Informal wear but I suggest it be some decent stuff. In Spain you go out about midnight and go to bars, pubs. They usually close about 3 am and people head to the clubs. These close about 7 am but some others open then and there are many people that continue fiesta during the day.
Barrio Carmen is the gothic part of the old town, full of bars, pubs and beer gardens. Very nice atmosphere! Theme: Eating and Drinking

A small nightclub which on occasion plays alternative music.

This trendy disco is in the heart of the Valencia nightlife, in Cavallers street. The music was great and the decoration is eclectic and quite interesting. Even if you dont like to dance go in to have a look at its "video-clip" interior... In Spain, the typical way of ending a night out is to have chocolate with churros early in the morning.

This place with such a weird name is located by the Malvarrosa beach, a bit outside Valencia.
They have also a terrace, a very nice place to sit on a hot day and see the people passing by...

The elegance and passion of the flamenco are unrivaled in my experience. Seeing someone who knows the dance is an unbelievable experience. They say more with one movement, than I can with 100 words.
