 The VT meeting group outside La Piula by Beach_dog Amelia40 made arrangements for the group to go for lunch at this restaurant. The do a fine selection of local dishes, the local speciality being Paella.

Well hidden in a narrow street (Calle de los Tenguidores) in the city old centre, between Plaza Redonda and the Central Market. It's managed by a group of young people, definitely an informal place to eat but very useful because it lias in an area where no restaurant can be found, even if attractive.
In Valencia, rice is the king of local cuisine (like in the Philippines...., but preparation is completely different!!!). You must start with Paella Valenciana - of course - but that is only the beginning: there are tens of other rice-based preparation. All of them worth the test: arroz en banda (fish and seashell are the base), arroz en negro (with suid ink), all y pebre (with eels)....
