This has to be one of my favourite restaurants in Valencia for genuine Spanish food with a modern young vibe.
This is quite a new restaurant but since it opened it has flourished, to the point that they have now opened 2 more adjacent restaurants. Only one has a kitchen and the food is brought from outside. The owner is smart and cashing in on a good thing! (I believe he/she has another restaurant so they must know their stuff. (This restaurant too is good, very busy at lunch time "El Pato" on C/Serpis,36)
The place serves all the normal spanish tapas, calamares, patatas bravas, sepia etc, but to quite a good standard with excellent service. If you go on a weekend and are a large group (more than 3 or 4) you will have to book in advance as this place really does get packed. I doubt very much you will get a seat. If you are 2 or 3 go early, (8pm) and they may squeeze you in.
What makes this restaurant an oll rounder is that it also has an excellent lunch time Menu, (no need to reserve) and it's very cheap.
Favorite Dish: It's all quite good. I like the calamares more though for some reason.

I ate here for lunch on a Sunday and it was quite full but not packed.
Apparently these are menu's from the North of Spain. I didn't quite notice the difference in the food, but i'm not spanish.
They seemed to have the normal spanish tapas and then have menu's. The menu's seem quite expensive to me.
We were 7 people and the bill came to 110.50 euros. This included 2 menu's, 1 dish. The menu includes desert and coffee. (the menu's are for actually for 2 people)
Favorite Dish: The desert was quite interesting, there was one that apparently was just fried milk but it was very nice and sweet. I couldn't believe it had no sugar added.
For me the food was OK, but nothing special, but some of the Spanish I was with quite liked it.

Cafe is righ in the middle of the Mercado Central 0 famous Valencia Market.
We stopped for some coffee, hot chocolate, and whetever they have to eat.
Menu is small, and it is written on the board, but everything is delicious.
The people who eat there are the people who work there or shop there, so it is not touristy place.

Great, cozy place to have few tapas. Tapas are displeyed at front of you in a case. They are mostly tapa canapes. They all have a small sceweres in them. You pick all you want and on the end bartender is counting your scewers. You pay 1 Euro for small scewer and 1.50 for larger scewer.
Favorite Dish: We had many seafood tapas, they were all delicious.
Place is a bit touristy (because of location), but good, and there are some local people as well.

Great location and great service...and super food. Although it was pretty full, we didn't feel the time go by while we were waiting to be fed :O) The sun was shining, you could hear the waves breaking by the shore...where else would you decide to spend a lovely afternoon, if not right here.
It has a cute name "El Trompo"...and we had no clue what we ordered as the menu was solely in Spanish...But we were 100% satisfied of what we received. We didn't want anymore paella , nor fish so decided for some other dish...We ended up with pork and chicken prepared in a most delicious way with some Spanish souce....yum yum.
I could not direct you to the exact location , it's on Marvelossa Beach, somewhere....But it's worth trying to find it!
Favorite Dish: ...don't have a clue even now on what I had to eat :o)...I think anything would be great

This is next to the Chinese restaurant opposite the Expo Hotel, Turia. The food was Japanese/Chinese also Sushi. The prices were reasonable and the quality was fine. Service very efficient and friendly.
Favorite Dish: Sushi ggod quality and reasonable price.

This is a cheap option in the area of Expo Hotel, which does not seem to have a good choice of restaurants. Service was not too friendly esp. as I did not order any drinks.
Favorite Dish: I had Lemon Chicken with plain rice (Euro6). The meat was fried in batter/bread crumps and was fair portion, however the meat seemed a bit strange in colour and texture.

A nice place for sitting and drinking, but the worst dishes we have eaten in Spain and perhaps in Europe...
Paellas were done by a cooker who has no learning of his job:bad rice, stuffed and not cooked in oil fist, bad products and poorly served ...but the price only was high 28 Euros for a bad Arroz negro and 46 Euros for an arroz con crustaceros (a half minilobster,2 shrimps, 2 mussels and an"almanda", thats not busines, in spanish:"ladrones"...

Cosy little resturant just off C/Vicente Blasco Ibanez.
Friendly young staff and young crowd. Outside and inside sitting. No TV screen for football matches. Nice pizza's and Tiramisu.
I enjoyed sitting outside and eating. Unfortunately, some Pakistani's have now aquired the adjacent resturant which in Spain normally means they are changing it into a Doner Kebab (which is strange considering it's Turkish food) restaurant. So unless you enjoy the stink coming from these I would might avoid sitting there.
Favorite Dish: Pizza. Oven Baked and freshly made.

The restaurant Óscar Torrijos opened in the Valencia district of Russafa more than 20 years ago and soon became one of the most elegant addresses in the city. Since a few years ago, the restaurants is in hands of a new generation, the daughter of the former chef and her husband, chef Josep Quintana. Now, the restaurant is called simply "Torrijos" and has totally updated its style, both in the decoration of the premises and in the menu.
Favorite Dish: A great attention is paid to details in this restaurant, from a great selection of amuse-gueules, to the excellent choice of bread, waters, and, of course, wine.
You can expect high quality creative and contemporary cuisine with seasonal and mostly local ingredients of first quality. The menú degustación is recommendable for a first visit.
