Of course this is the main attraction here. If you have seen the Royal Palace in Madrid, is kind of the same but smaller.
Was started to build in 1561, by Phillip II.
Entrance 5 euros, though it was 3 this june, as some rooms were being refurbished.
The visits are guided, in groups, and are in spanish, though if there are enough english-speakers, they can gather in a english speaking group.
It takes about 1 hour for the whole tour. Inside, you can see kings rooms, clothings, toys...

These are the main gardens here. They are located all along the river, and have many entrances along the main road.
They are bigger and "wilder" than the Island's Gardens. Inside you will find:
    - Casa del Labrador palace
    - Vessels Museum
    - Royal embankment
    - Pavillions gardens
    - Apollo's fountain

The Royal Palace was built in 1561 by Phillip II. It was the summer residence, and the winter residence was in San Lorenzo de El Escorial. You can see the interior of this Palace. There are really beautiful rooms. The entrance cost 6 Euro.

The chapel is on the way from the Royal Palace to the Principe Jardin. It`s possible to see the interior, but when I was there it was closed. It`s a pity, maybe next time... On the another end of this palce is a beautiful fountain.

The Prince`s garden is really great, big and a little "wild". It is situated on the Tajo River. There are to see: La Casa del Lablador, the Vessels Museum, some fountains ( the most bveautiful is the Apollo`s fountain), the China Garden and a lot of beautiful flowers. You can meet in the garden peacocks, pheasants and other birds. And you can see time to time the squirrels on the trees.

The beautiful garden surunded the Royal Palace. It is not very big, but very nice. There are great fountains: Neotun, Apollo, Aphrodite, Bachus and othes, a big cage for birds, some sculptures and many great trees and flowers. It must be wanderful here in spring or autum, but in summer was too magnificent. It`s only a pity, but when I was here, the most of fountains didn`t work.

This Palace was the spring residence of the spanish Kings since Felipe II and it was built between 1.561 and 1.586 but underwent a extension in 1.715.

Don't miss the gardens nearby: The Jardín de la Isla (Island's Garden), the Jardín del Parterre (Flower Bed Garden) and the Jardín del Príncipe (Prince's Garden).
