Strawberries from the kiosk - forget about them!

Strawberry and mixed berry boxes are sold in small kiosks along the streets in the town during spring time. They look excellent - but ask for the price before you buy them: they are usually very expensive and just not worth the money!

Fun Alternatives: You shall get same quality in tapas bars or restaurants for better value.

Tren de la Fresa (Strawberry train)

The train at the station

Some might like it, but I consider it a real fake.
This is an old (wooden seats) train departing Atocha station at 10 on weekends and including a pair of visits and a little (tiny) strawberies box. Returns to Madrid at 18:00.
The price is 22 euros (14 for children).
If you do the same on your own, it costs you 10 euros (plus 3 of the strwberries in case you wwant some). Aranjuez is really small and easy to find your way around. The seats are hard, wooden, and there is no air condition on board.
Anyway, if you still think is a good deal, you can get some info at:

A boat along the river

Some people might like it, but I saw it as a kind of tourist trap...
There is a boat that takes you along the Tajo River for 50 minutes. It costs 7 euros and the only monument you see is the Royal Enbankment of the Prince Gardens...
The Prince gardens are free and the river is nothing really spectacular, so... U decide!
To take it, go across the bridge at the Rusinol Square (where the Rana Verde restaurant is) and turn right.
