This brings memories of early teen years in Madrid, living there with my late mother.
going to the baseball games at the Elipa was fantastic; we played in a league of 8 teams with my team been sponsored by the Real Madrid CF, and playing against Atletico de Madrid, Rayo Vallecano, Condepols Piratas, and the sons of the USA air force base at Torrejon de Ardoz as well as the old school Abraham Lincoln in Madrid.
We came here by bus on the P13 now under the new network is the 113 same route. My house was in Quintana metro line 4 Calle Alcalà. Memories I visit each time to the city. this time took the courage to visit La Elipa on foot from my hotel took about 20 minutes.
La Elipa is youthful great memories of playing baseball with many nice folks, remember the day we played the US airbase and we field players of Cuban descend, we beat them 6x3, with over 2000 spectators.
Now the field has gone a long way from just a baseball field with a food truck, now it has running trails, 3 swimming pools, dressing room office ,and full cafeteria.
there is now the base for the Madrid Baseball federation and home of the Villalbilla baseball club.

great memories for me and for you if you like baseball, want to see something really off the beaten path then by all means stop by and see the local life.
For me it will remain memories, souvenirs, wonderful youthful time/ From Madrid to heaven and a hole on the sky to look down on it every day.
But not the ones in the picture - Real Madrid won the European cup in Glasgow and many other country in Europe
Besides the typical Bullfighting Posters with your name on it, there are lots of nice souvenirs in Madrid for you to take home...
