If you are already in England take EasyJet to Madrid. The flight is about 2 hours long and you can get a ticket for about 60 pounds return or 120 dollars.

The International Airport of Madrid (Barajas) is located about 12 km east of the centre. It has a comfortable and frequent Metro connection (No. 8) to Nuevos Ministerios since 1999.

As of summer 2006, Air Transat became the first plane company to offer direct flights from Montreal to Madrid. It is most definitely worth it - the flight takes about 7 hours.
