Small, tightly packed restaurant frequented by locals and tourists alike. If you order the cocido as just about everyone else does it will served almost immediately.
Have a light breakfast as this will meal will keep you going for the rest of the day.
The service was attentive and the waiter was heplful in explaining how best to eat it.
Get there a bit earlier to be guarenteed a table.
Favorite Dish:
Cocido, cocido and cocido with a nice house red.
The bloody-red facade tells the truth that La Bola was one of the most popular restaurants in old times. Today, it still holds a reputation of nice food and fair prices.
Favorite Dish:
Cocido, the most traditioal spanish food (similar to a Chinese dish called "huang dou gu tou tang")
The restaurant is not so big, the tables are a little bit to close to each other for my liking, specially that in Europe there are no regulations about Smoking or Non Smoking Sections, so that was a problem everywhere.
It is located on a back street very close to La Gran Via Street but easy to find. The service was quick and simple.
Favorite Dish:
I went to try their Cocido Madrileño on the advice of a local. It was wonderful, exceptionally made, I recomended to everyone who likes this type of cooking. It remainded me my Grandmother's cooking.
