Crystal Palace, Madrid
The glass- and metal structure Palacio Cristal was built in 1887 as a greenhouse, inspired by the (demolished) Crystal Palace in London.
It is located in the Retiro Parc of Madrid, opposite of an artifical lake, and of the most striking architectural features of the Parc.
The Palacio de Cristal (Crystal Palace) is in the Retiro Park, and it offers temporary exhibitions. It is part of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (or just Museo Reina Sofía), so, the website is the same, but you have to look for Exposiciones/Exhibitions.
Take a walk to Retiro Park and you will eventually come upon the Palacio de Cristal which is a large greenhouse located in the Park
The Palacio de Cristal is in the Retiro Park and is a magnificent building with beutiful detail on the outside. Sitting on the edge of a lake it is one of two galss halls built in the 1880's
