This two easy recognisable towers will indicate the Plaza Colón for you.
Seeing this, you have behind your back the memory park of Christofer Columbus (Colón).
The metro stations are Serrano, Colón.
To the left of the picture there is the Madrid wax museum.
This monument over Cristofer Columbus (Colón) is a water fall, with abundance of water. Under the falls are the Centro Cultural de la Villa de Madrid.
Go down there and have a "rest" from the heat in the sun.
This square is dedicated to Christopher Columbus and the statue seen in this picture is a smaller version of the one that sits at the end of Las Ramblas in Barcelona. Underneath the square is the Centro Cultural de la Villa. You'll enter the Cultural Center by walking down behind a sheet of water that cascades from a fountain above. Behind the plaza is Calle Serrano, which is one of the best shopping streets in the city.
Plaza de Colón and Monument of Cristóbal Colón, the man who discovered America in 1492. The monument was moved to the center of the square some yerars ago (second and third pics)..
This plaza and its fountain commemorate the explorer Christopher Columbus. At the base of the Columbus Monument is a large fountain with a broad cascade of water.
The statue of Christofer Columbus was erected in 1885, it is done in new gothic style.
On top is Columbus indicating the way to the west.
Well, one of my favourite places is Plaza Colon. The fountain there is just gorgeous, it's near the hard rock cafè and a very nice shopping street. It really has it all.
