Palacio de Gaviria: Huertas zone

by kikito_sp

Huertas (metro station: sol) is the most complete zone for going out in madrid. You can find nearly everything there: discos, pubs of all types, one salsa place, several nice restaurants, cinemas...It's also the most centric zone, next to Chueca & Gran Vía. And it's also the most frequented by foreigners. There's one special spot for foreigners: El Palacio de Gaviria. It's a palace that was transformed in disco, and it's invaded by foreigners every thursday night. You'll want to go there the first time you go out in Madrid, if you're not spanish. It's 9 euros the entrance, with one drink included (drinks in madrid cost at least 6 euros so this is no big deal)After El Palacio de Gaviria, you'll want to move along. You don't need to get out of Huertas, yet. Have a look to the other places in huertas before - they're much less strict with the dress code! For El Palacio de Gaviria, you'd...

Nighttime Serenades

by Antonio25

Madrid residents often come back from a holiday in, for example, New York, complaining that they found it boring. For Madrid's nightlife is justly famous and has to be seen to be believed. Where else do you get traffic jams at five o'clock in the morning? puertas del sol calle de la cruz
