    Basilica with two towers. On the fasade there are sculptures of kings of Judea.
    Inside can you see beautiful altar made of jasper with statues of Philippe II, Charles V and their wifes with children. There are too many beautiful old pictures.

    View of the Valley of the Fallen

    It was a great and unique experience to visit El Escorial and the Valle de los Caidos on a snowy day. I think the weather served to make it a more memorable trip. If you visit in the winter, be prepared. Even if it's not cold and snowy in Madrid, it's possible that you will experience such weather here.

    this village is situated in the montain - Sierra de Guadarrama

    in winter can you here ski, and in summer rest from the city tumult

    El Escorial is found 49 km north-east from Madrid
