This restaurant offers a good service, rapidity and very low prices.
There are many other chinese in Torrejon.

Parrilla Don Jose (grilled) in the cellar of Hotel Torrejon, looks high standing. Prices are
moderate (10 EUR a course), but one course is not enough to eat (for instance, duck is very good, well presented with half a pear but no patato, rice, .. is foreseen)
and prices do not include taxes.

Train is by far the best and cheapest way to travel from or to Torrejon de Ardoz.
Two destinations:
- Alcala (beautiful and historical interest, see page) to the East in 10 minutes (or Guadalajara further away) / one way 1.1 EUR;
- Madrid, to the west, in roughly half an hour, depending on the station (Atocha 25 min, Recoletos, 30 min, Principe Pio 45 min) / one way 1.80 EUR.
Frequency: more than a train every 10 minutes.

Favorite thing: The square 'Plaza Mayor', centre of the city, has nothing particular. It was hosted by a huge tent during my stay.
One of the very few buildings not devoted to commerce, lodging or teaching seems to be the church. It is situated in Plaza Mayor, connected to the station by a commercial street (calle de enmedio).
Notice the stork (Cigüena/Cigogne) and its nest on the bell-tower. Many more are to be found
in the close, beautiful and historical city Alcala de Henares.

Torrejon de Ardoz: Not a touristic destination
Apparently and according to people living in the neighbourhood, not much is to be found in this city for a tourist. For me, it was a place to find a hotel much easier and cheaper than in Madrid, full...
family of jose live here. i have been here for two weddings. the first time in october 1998 and the last one may 2002. last visite december 2003
