Building constructed in the 16th century for poor people and homeless.
Within its walls the most fragiles and unfortunately in those hard times did find refuge and attention.

The broad walking road up to the church was closed for car trafic. We did get up on a small street near Ermita del Socorro that first appeared as the main entrance, but leaving the village on the other side of the hill close to the road to Navalcarnero there we did find the main part of the village.
The road guide says Villamanta has a population of around 1500 persons, but it seems to be expanding.
