Crema de Zujar

by hartti

Crema de Zujar is a semi-soft cheese produced in the Serena region of Extremadura using vegetable rennet. Rich in content, fine very creamy sheep's milk flavor. Washed natural rind. This speciality can be enjoyed cutting the top off and spooning the inside out over fresh bread. Goes perfectly with asparacus, salata and cava.

Bull’s black silhouette

by micas_pt

Travelling through Extremadura one sometimes comes across the silhouette of a bull painted in black situated on top of slight hills in the plains. I have no idea how this tradition begun, only thing that I know I that bullfighting is a MUST see in Spain, for admirers of those kind of entertainment (which is not my case).Being a bullfight admirer or not, one cannot miss those huge silhouettes. Whenever I see something similar I always remember of Spain and the countryside.

Storks everywhere

by micas_pt

Storks are a common sight across Extremadura countryside and villages. Both flying across the sky, resting on their huge brownish nests or standing on top of buildings and monuments, they seem to be everywhere, as if part of the landscape. In Extremadura, I found stork's nest on the most unbelievable and less expected places, such a TV antenna. While visiting villages and towns, or even in the countryside, these big birds provide a wealth of opportunities for nice photos, mainly for storks' admirers, as is my case.

A: I checked the bus link and noticed they have a contact email - perhaps best would be to drop them a note. I've had good results that way, usually get a reply.
