El Madrigal stadium , home to Villarreal CF, built in 1923
The stadium has a capacity of 22,000. A smallish ground apart from where they put the away supporters. This is in a huge stand behind one on the goals. You're put right at the top of thhis stand and have your view of the pitch obscured by netting, stantions and perspex. Not very good considering the tickets for the game were £60 a piece.

I didn't really see too much of Villarreal as I only came for the football. I actually stayed the one night in Valencia and then took the train up and back for the game. It did look a pretty quiet......
