This neighbourhood has a slow paced life, different from the one notice in the newest and modern areas of Vigo. Almost the "old" heart of the fishing village, it is somewhat traditional: narrow streets, small modest houses, people on the windows talking to each other and watching passers-by, where everybody seems to know each other. On the other hand, restaurants seem to attract tourists.

When you visit the port area you notice that those are big, big infrastructures (and yes, you fell so small!!) and that, in fact, it must represent a major economic activity.
As with any other fishing village in Spain or Portugal, when you are near the port area that are lots of seagulls flying through the city and living there, ... I always have fun looking at seagulls. Leave a Comment

 Wild Horses Sculpture by micas_pt
Through the city, in the streets and the squares you will find innumerous sculptures, all with some specific meaning related to Vigo's history, geography or economy.
By far, my favourite sculpture was the one that tributes the Wild Horses. Impressive!! Leave a Comment

Do your own circular tour - I start at Pontevedra because that is where I suggest staying. Pontevedra to Cangas by bus, Cangas to Vigo by ferry, Vigo to Pontevedra by train. Great views of both southernmost rias. Bus from Baiona to Vigo also gives outstanding views of Ria de Vigo and the Islas Cies.
Octopus - mainly enjoyed at Pontevedra but Vigo equally good - cheap and delicious! Leave a Comment

Go to Cies islands.If you´re in Vigo and it´s Summer or Holy Week you must go to islands.The weather is incredible,
the place is a paradise and all the people is having party. There are never problems, there´s no police ...I love them!
What I miss the most is the sunsets i the see, after climbing to the highest point in islands.I´ve enjoyed it very much. you know, party, friends, love.. you can find it all.The fondest memory is my reaction for being there, I thought I was dreaming! It is not a real place!

Aperitivo o comida en JR. Pulpo, calamares, Mejillones,Pescados.
Cafe irlandes.
Golf por la tarde. Un club pequeño cerca aeropuerto otro grande al otro lado de la bahía.
