Joe's Spain Memories

by Classroomtravels

I went to Spain in August 2009 with my mum, dad and brother and we stayed in a hotel where the chairs turn into beds! My best memory from the trip was the waterpark and I went down a big slide and it was scary and there were these big buckets of water and when you go under them, water came down! I saw a man with no head too!

John-Joe's Spain Memories

by Classroomtravels

I went to Spain in 2010 with my Mum, Dad, brother James and sister Stella. We stayed in a 4 star hotel and the weather was really sunny. I met Chinese people doing acrobatics...one guy was climbing up a tower of chairs. My best memory of the trip was Port Aventura adventure park. The park was fun, especially the water slides. I saw a tribute to Michael Jackson too. He was funny and he was dancing to Michael Jackson's music.

I went to Tenerife in August 2010 with Dad, Mom, David and Michelle. It was very hot with blue skies and we stayed in a nice hotel. The water park at Costa Adeje was right beside our hotel and we went two times. I saw animals in the zoo and dolphins in the waterpark.

I went to Spain with my family in July 2010. We stayed in my Nana and and Grandad's apartment. The weather was nice and sunny every day...38 degrees!I met lots of nice people and friends...Bob and Ester from Wales and Frank and Allma from Sweden. My best memory of Spain is swimming in the pool, going out for dinner in a restaurant, eating spaghetti and ribs and going to Tivoli World and Aqualand. I saw fish in the Marina and I was on the trampoline with my sister.

My best memory of the trip to Spain was when I went to Mundomar, where I saw a dolphin show. In the dolphin show people were wearing pink swimsuits but when they swam underwater they were gold!I met a snake in Elche Zoo and he went around my shoulders and one night I saw a parade and fireworks.

Get ready to speak Spanish while in Spain

Salamanca

by traveldave

One of Spain's most important university towns, Salamanca is in the province of Castile-León, and has been a center of learning for over 3,200 years. Salamanca's prestigious university was founded in 1218, and it soon became the equal of universities in Oxford and Bologna. Salamanca was beseiged by Hannibal in 220 B.C., and under Roman rule, the city was an important staging post on the Ruta de la Plata ("Silver Route") from mines in northern Spain to population centers in the south. Many consider Salamanca's Plaza Mayor (pictured here) to be the most magnificent in Spain. The square was designed in 1729 by the architect Churriguera. Nowadays, fashionable boutiques and cafes line the perimeter, making the Plaza a popular place to relax and enjoy the ambiance.

el camino de santiago "the way of st. james"

by rkearns

the entire route takes a month, but there are shorter routes and of course you can start from any point if you wanted to. one week is not much time, but i have never walked for one week straight, so it could seem like a lifetime. there are churches and monestaries set up along the way to host travelers on the camino. they cost a bit of money. some people choose to camp along the way. if you want, i believe the cost is around $35 usd, you can buy a little "passport" that you get stamped, but i'm not sure if that includes the shorter routes. here's a link, if you haven't already found it, that i thought was the most useful while i was doing my research.http://www.caminodesantiago.me.uk/i also liked to do google image searches to see what the trail was like. i'm so envious of you! i will get there some day.
