Sit outside and become part of the sidewalk. People watch, enjoy a drink and very nice reasonably priced local food. You are not rushed and the staff are very helpful. It helps to have a local when ordering the first few times :) Thanks Mercedes.
Favorite Dish: Too many to mention but the hams and cheese's are nice, the chrizo in cider too, along with the fish parcels, croquetas, wine, beer, company, smells, atmosphere, wine, beer, fresh bread, local olive oil, salads, olives, wine, snails when in season with garlic. Good company finished off with Ascietico.

Good varied menu to suit all. All looks freshly cooked. They went out of their way to cook our meal as we arrived too early for the evening menu, as we English tend to do.
Favorite Dish: They do 'real chips' which a lot of you may not understand but they were a treat. My steak was very good too.
The home made sweets were also fantastic.
I will be going back the next time I visit the area.

2 parts to this place, menu del dia is excellent value at 9 euros or choose your fish from the fresh display and cooked to your requirements. This is charged by weight so be careful what you choose if you are on a budget. The staff will help you decide.
Favorite Dish: Menu del dia was a soup / stew followed by fresh fish, choice of sweet and coffee. Very nice and filling. Try the house red wine.

Tradition in good fish and rices. Its dish "Rice La Tana" (a "caldero" type rice made with minced squids and shrimps, with no heads and no bones) is delicious.
To get more information visit its web site, please (you can check some of the House speciality dishes and prices -in English- clicking on "Sugerencias" -suggestions-)

Good seafood, except the paella which was rice with very few seafood ! Avoid the paella here ! The customers are mostly local. The service is efficient and fast but the atmosphere not very friendly. However, besides the paella, the food is good.

The Restaurant "des Pescadores" is in front of the entrance of Puerto Pesquero Santa Lucia, neighbor to Techosbajos.
It seems that customers are mainly local, may be really fishermen as the name suggests ! However we had not the opportunity to try it as we had not enough evenings free for restaurants in Cartagena.
Favorite Dish: Seafood as expected !

Caution : open every day except Sunday 9AM-5PM and Friday and Saturday 8:30PM-11:30PM.
On Friday, it is full of local customers. You have often to wait to get a table ! The service is fast, but this not fast food !. Tapas are served as three sizes.
With 2 middle size tapas, 2 small tapas and a bottle of wine, we paid 24 euros for 2.
Good seafood and really cheap.
Favorite Dish: All seafood is very tasty

The customers are mostly local. The service is efficient and the atmosphere sympathetic.
Tables are either set outside which is very pleasant in summer though it is a bit noisy with the traffic. They serve also inside, which has air conditioning.
With sangria, sea-food as first course, paella and a bottle of wine, we have paid 48 euros for two.
Don't miss this place !
Favorite Dish: Paella is a must but seafood on a whole is very fresh and tasty
