Favorite thing: The muslims that stayed after the conquest of Al Andalus by the Christinans were called "moriscos". They were finally forced out by the kings of Spain in the early XVII century but until then, they had a great influence in the society of South East Spain. Their expulsion implied a great shock with dramatic consequences in the economy of the area.
Rooves of Moratalla
Favorite thing: When you climb to the upper town, you have the feeling to stand above the rooves of the buildings, disposed in an apparently chaotic way.
the town's skyline
Favorite thing: It is definitely not what you understand for a "skyline" in the sense of modern cities, but it has an unmistakable Spanish look.
