The southern tip of La manga del Mar Menor is marked by a rough coats, contrasting with the shallow and long white stripe of sand to the north. A lighthouse from 1865 signs the place and a few secluded beaches are an option to those who don't like the wide open spaces of La Manga.
As I found no reference to La Manga del Mar Menor in VT, I decided to post all my tips about that beach in Cabo de Palos page.

In the middle if the Mar Menor, Los Alcazares is the biggest settlement, and maybe the biggest beach. Everything is shallow in the area (land or water) and it is warm almost all year around. Water sports, bike riding, and there's not much more to see or to do, in a beach where children may be at ease.
Torre del Rami, an Arab fortress and a monument to the fishermen are all to see in town.
