Indeed, VT meeting is the very best part of the nightlife in Madrid, as my Spanish friends has finished their work we can start the party and having fun, well I had great times and discovered how great and special those people are, and now have real great friends for good ;-D
In General Madrid as any other capital in the world is sleepless and has a viviasious rythym at night, well... nightlife in Madrid is a great way to discover the other side and face of the city with different colors!
...arrgh... I don't remember names!! (This has nothing to do with alcohol!! :D) There were many nice places in Irun!! (Our families' girl took us on a circuit) You should go there with your friends..or at least get some from there :D That will be easy.. No dress code but I'd be ashamed (if not, at any rate I'd try to avoid you) if you would be there at the same time and wear really shocking and ragged clothes ;)
Like in any city the Iish bars are great places to hang out(O' Niell's Calle de Zamorov 14 or The Irish Rover Calle de Rua Antigua), though fortunatly Salamanca has many more places to go. Camelot is theme bar/disco next to Palacio de Monterrey. We actually got refused entry because we were so drunk by that time(not that I usually drink a lot)! But I hear it's a popular student hangout. other places to try are: El Gran Cafe Moderno (Gran Via),nightclub Submarino (Calle San Justo off Gran Via),Posada de las Armas(Plaza de San Boal), or try the Potemkin for live music(Calle Iscar Peira).Just walk aroun and you'll see something that takes your fancy before long.
Oh this is for sure not Madrid, with the living nightlife, but Sevilla's night is much calm, and there are some empty streets at night, but anyway having a walk at night in Old Seville cartiers is a magical thing!
The Madrid huge Stadium were Spanish people like to watch football of the famous team Real Madrid ;-Dit is in the Azca area, few meters from the shopping centre, we stopped and took a look at it with VT friends!
The last day when I left Madrid, we had a Bus stop in one of Madrid stations to have dinner, I met a nice French girl from Lyon: Sophie, who was chatting with me all the way back to Dijon, just like I did few days before with Ana Maria, lucky me ;-D
The famous despotism period of Spain under his rule, I said to Jose *Jlvillalba* :wow i never thought they will keep a statue of this president, and he said:well he was bad for sure, but he did some good things for Spain!well Jose sounded quite convencing ;-D
I like this little square with the lovely lights of the fountain, it gives a special effect, magical I'd say, and you will always be forced to smile, as you feel good, when you watch anything beautiful ;-D
Yeah this is what I call a real nightlife, friends, and nice times chatting and walking and having funny pictures and crazy things, LOLit is unforgetable for me, I thank all my Spanish VT frineds for that wonderful night ;-D
