Rajdoot: Indian Cuisine at its Finest

by travelswithsteve

Part of a small group, but the only one outside the UK, this is just one of a kind when it comes to classical Indian food.Fronted by the same man since it opened, it's been there for 20+ years (I guess a record in itself) which is a reflection of how good its core trade is.Ive been eating there for 8 years and never been dissappointed.

All along the costa's are bar / restaurants right on the beach. If your a Costa del Sol beach fan, but get fed up of Spanish run places try this. It's called the Gali Gali, right on the beach and the only one not Spanish run.Owned by a Dutch guy, and very run.Opens early in the morning till about 7 in the evening, it's just a pleasure to be treated well rather than for your tourist bucks. Just about everything

The Sundowner: People friendly

by boo5

The resturant is small English owned with tables outside and in with A/C. The menu is small but mouth watering, and the chef cooks everything to order, so every dish is freshly prepared. The owners are lovely and introduce you to other diners so so evenings there is a real party. They have different musical attractions from line dancing/country to Rat pack style music. The steak.

Restaurante Casa Santa Pola: Exceptional Food - Exceptional Service - Ronda

by ellsasha

This restaurant is special, I was traveling on my own and the staff immediately made me feel very comfortable. Each time I went there I was ushered to a table with a beautiful view of the gorge, bread and olives and other appetizers were quickly brought to the table. The wine waiters were quick to recommend excellent house wines which they thought would compliment my lunch selections (even if this involved them opening a new bottle, no trying to push whatever is already open in this establishment). The waiters were attentive without being intrusive, and they were courteous in encouraging me when I ordered my meals in Spanish. Some of the waiters speak good English, though. The menu is not vast, but each dish is well thought out and designed to please the palate, all in all an outstandingly good restaurant. The Iberian Cured Ham (Jamon Iberico) a speciality of the region was outstanding....

Pizzeria San Marco: An Atmospheric Place to Eat Italian

by Paul2001

I had gotten pretty fed up with Spanish cuisine by the time I had hit Sevilla, so I thought that I would check out an Italian restaurant. I decided upon the Pizzeria San Marco which is situated in one of the oldest buildings that I have ever eaten in. The restaurant is located in a 12th century Moorish baths. The building is very well restored making for great atmosphere. Also much to my pleasure, the prices were quite affordable. This Pizzeria San Marco is very popular and this is probably not only for the atmosphere but for the quality of the food which was good. I had an excellent veal milanese.

Market: Check out the market

by StephanB

Right off of La Rambla near the Barri Gotic district is an incredible market that is opended every day at 8 am. You can find almost everything you need for a fresh, healthy meal. Fresh juices, bread, meats, fruits and veggies, etc.. The best thing is that you can buy these things at a fraction of what a restaurant would cost. We went every day for a quick breakfast and to pack sandwiches for the day.

RESTAURANTE CHINO JUMBO: TORREMOLINOS -- GREAT CHINESE FOOD

by LoriPori

Hans and I frequented RESTAURANTE CHINO JUMBO many times. It had a friendly atmosphere. The food was always fresh and delicious and staff so delightful. We usually had the menu de dia which for 5.50 Euros you received a combination plate of your choice plus dessert (cream caramel or ice cream) and coffee or tea. Excellent value and always more then plenty to eat.

BAR LA GAMBA: A DINING EXPERIENCE IN MIJAS

by LoriPori

While walking around Mijas you will notice signs on the sidewalk enticing you to little tucked away restaurants. We went in a doorway and discovered an enchanting little family owned restaurant BAR LA GAMBA. There were only a few tables and it felt very cozy. We ordered the Menu de dia which for 5.50 euros, we had pork chops, roasted potatoes and a salad. Very good and more than enough food. The owner / waiter was friendly and spoke good English.
