PARK ACROSS THE STREET ??????????: PICNIC IN THE PARK

by Onedragon

THIS REALLY IS NOT A RESTAURANT OR LUNCH WAGON OR ANY OF THOSE. IT IS MERELY A BEAUTIFUL PARK TO ENJOY THE TASTE OF A PICNIC LUNCH WHICH I DID WHEN I WAS THERE. THIS IS REAL CONVIENENT IF YOU ARE TRAVELING BY TRAIN AND YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE AN INTERMISSION IN BARCELONA AT THAT TRAIN DEPOT........ THE PARK IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET AND IT HAS THE BEAUTY TO FASHION YOUR PICNIC LUNCH WITH THE BEST OF ANY LUNCHES..... THE FOOD OF COURSE IS WHAT EVER YOU MAY HAVE WITH YOU... SO THE ONLY EXPENSE MIGHT BE TO GIVE SOME TO WHATEVER INSECTS OR CREATURES MAY WANT TO JOIN YOU.... PIZZA AND CHIPS AND GATORADE DRINK THAT I HAD IN MY BACKPACK........

Cocina espanola

by AndreSTGT

Even though Spanish cuisine is less renowned than other Mediterranean cuisines, esp. French and Italian, Spain is a brilliant destination for food lovers. Spanish ham and cheese is among the best in the world and there's a great choice of seafood prepared in every imaginable way.A great invention is 'Tapas' which is contrary to widespread belief not a dish in itself, but rather a small portion of a dish, which gives you a great opportunity to taste several things at once. If you prefer a larger portion you have to order a 'Ración'.Eating out is generally less expensive in Spain than in many other Western European countries, even seafood is still quite affordable. Some of my favorite dishes that i highly recommend are :- Bocadillo con Jamón Serrano- Champinones al ajillo (garlic mushrooms)- Sepia a la plancha (grilled squid)- Chipirones (baby octopus)

Don't go if you have eaten some food the day before. You must starve before entering this place. Each dish is for 12 people! I could not believe it!kilos of food, kilos and kilos!!!!!!!! too much but food is excellent.

by gandara

Bodega Guzman...: Cordoba

by grovier

This is one of the cordoba's places where people go after the corrida...But all the day this bar and Tapas is ready for seving delicious dishes and very good wines in a fresh and slightly windy place.

typical cellar in Palma de Mallorca: Celler sa Premsa

by grovier

I sailed many times to Balears and each time we were in Palma we had to dine in this restaurant. Its a typical cellar shown to me by a friend the first time I went in the 70's...The best way is to be there after a corrida, because the atmosphere becomes warm... All dishes are exellant and of course fishes and "mariscos" are well prepared and very tasty.

Paella: National Dish

by Jim_Eliason

Paella is the national dish of Spain. It consists of rice with vegetables cooked in Olive oil. There are several varietiesPaella Marisco - with seafoodPaella Valencia - with chickenPaella Mixta - a combo of the two A word of warning - Paella is rarely served in small quantities. More often than not if you order it you will get enough for two.

Tapas Galore and Vino tinto

by OCNJBritt

The food in Spain is truly divine. Tapas are delicious and come n many varieties. Duck, salad, croquettes, chorizo and no plate of tapas is complete without a bottle of wine...Eat everything! Calamari, cheese, foie gras, mmmm...the food of spain is an artform in an of itself. Tapas such as duck and calamari were my favorites.

Tapas

by traveldave

Tapas are small snacks that are served with drinks in bars. There are three sizes of tapas: a pincho (a bite-size), a tapa (a snack), and a ración (a full plate). Every region, town, and bar has its own tapas, and the selection of dishes is varied. In Spain, tapear means to go from bar to bar to have just a couple of tapas in each place.
