Zara and others: Fast Fashion in Spain

Fashion design in Spain has, for many years, been considered too lackluster to play in the same level as Paris, Milan or even London. Moreover, many of its most prominent designers, such as Balenciaga, have developed their career in the fashion meccas rather in their home country. At the grand brand level, Spanish fashion has not taken gigantic steps yet, but the country has indeed achieved a global presence during the last decades in High Street Fashion. Zara, in particular, but also Mango, Bershka, Camper and many others have managed to offer a catwalk inspired fashion for very affordable prices, with a reasonable quality and within weeks since the trends are revealed in the most glamourous fashion shows.
