In Spain you'll find a street market, fleamarkets in each big city or small towns. They are called in spanish: Mercadillo. Here you'l find anything: Clothes,Shoes,Local Craft,Gifts,Music etc. at a very reasonable prices. Also normally in all Street Markets in Spain, there is always a section for fruits and vegetables,if you buy here your veggies and fruit you'll save lots of money!!.This picture was taken from my balcony, and I am lucky to have this fleamarket so close from my house!.Normally I come very often for fruits and vegetables!.

Winery or any select wine store: The absolutelty best red wine!!!!!!

by Saagar

Winery's full name:Bodegas Alejandro Fernandez Tinto Pesquera, S:L. The best red wine I have ever had was this one:Pesquera.Tinto Cosecha 1993.This wine is from the Ribera del Duero to the west in Spain, just near the Portugese border.Don't miss this wine of a good year if you want to bring a bottle home or simply have a fantastic drink here and now with your food... Varies with year and quality - several versions. The price is an indication of the quality acording to this area's norms (Duero).

Sample the local Vino (wine)

by blint

The most common places to buy good wine is actually in supermarkets. Off Licences (or wine stores) aren't common in Spain. If they do exsist they mainly sell Whisky/Whiskey for drinking on the streets/round you mates house on a Friday or Saturday! Faustino Vll: A rioja (red wine) which will only set you back 4-5 euros.Sangre de Toros: Another fantastic Rioja which will again only set you back around 3.50-5 euros.Cune: Yet another great rioja which will set you back about 5 or 6 euros.Mil Flores: A rioja made with flowers which will set you back only 5 euros. You may even find little flowers floating around the bottom of the bottle if you are lucky! Don't be put off by the idea it's really good.Faustino V is a really lovely wine though is more expensive. Not expensive for the quality! In Spain you can even buy a good rioja foras little as 2 euros!!!! I promise whatever you buy it will...

El Corte Ingles

by SirRichard

If you like the convinience of Department Stores, where everything is in the same building, "El Corte Ingles" is the main (only?) place in Spain for this. They have shops in nearly every spanish town, so you won't have problems finding the nearest one. The prices are not always the cheapest, but you may be (almost) sure to find what you need without walking up and down the town.

Real Madrid items

by SirRichard

If you are a fan of Real Madrid soccer team and wanna buy original items from the club there are at least a pair of shops of the club in Madrid.- One at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium (Castellana ave, Metro Santiago Bernabeu), where you can also visit the trophy room and have a tour around the stadium.- One at Carmen street very near from Puerta del Sol, in the first corner after you enter the street from the square.

Euros...

by Carmela71

From January 1st, 2002, the new Spanish currency, as in most European Union countries, is the Euro. As the rest of the European countries we have seen how all the products increased their prices, but now we have the benefit of not changing money when travelling round in Europe. You have notes from 5,10,20, 50, 100 and 500 euros, and coins of 1,5, 10, 20 and 50 cents, 1, 2 Euros.

Sales

by Carmela71

I love sales, what can I say! ;-)Normally Sales began on the 8th January until the last days of February. Then is summer you get sales in July till August.Any good shops for sales : Zara, Mango and Corte Ingles for clothes (that are really what deserves) if not ask Beach_dog (Stace) about it... any time he comes on sales ..... (so it is not only women ;-) )
