Again and again the best way to roam the city is walking by feet, no bus or taxi will stop the time you need to stop next to a famous place for you and then leave the place to another as you wish but your feet!
It is the tarin with fast speed, between Madrid and Sevilla, wonderful way to travel fast, in about 1,40 minutes you reach your destination, and if you buy the two way tickets you will have discounts in price!
Truly when it is up to me, and there are no long and very far distance, I prefer the most economical and great way to visit a city: Walking!it is sport, and you can have all the time you need to discover the corners and hidden paths, which is the biggest advantage of this natural transport ;-D
Cabs are the comforatble and luxury way of transportation in Madrid, though it is more expensive than the others, but you reach your wished target without changes or stress, but you have to be wealthy LOLtaxi's in Europe are not less than 10 Euro's for a normal short destination!
Ah my favorite transport in a forigen city, it is clear, you can't be fooled or make a mistake, read well and you reach your aim always and quickly ;-Dthe Metro ticket for one trip with possible several changes in the subway from line to another coast 1 Euro and 15 centsCool !
To move in Madrid, you have the Buses, Buses are very good and cheap way of transportation, and you can always ask the driver to warn you when you reach the needed station, so think of using it once you're in Madrid!
To reach Madrid you have the European company Service Intercars which covers the whole Europe, just like the one I used to take: Eurolines, and by the way they are both in partnership!and it is kind of long trip by Bus, but you can always sleep, untill they wake you either for the break or to change the Bus to another in some points between European neighbour countries!it is always fun I met a nice Spanish student: Ana Maria which is studing in France and we were chatting the whole trip so it was very good to pass the time without feeling! ;-D
