Fredikskyrkan

Favorite thing: On the Stortoget is the Fredrikskyrkan. Its a major focal point when walking in the city. On one side you walk to the historical harbour side on the other side of the square are the main shopping streets (with some very nice shops indeed!).
On the Stortoget are furthermore a few restaurants along the side

Favorite thing: Here too the main attraction (for me) was the nature that is in unspoiled way everywhere around you. Swimming in a lake after which some sunbathing warms you up again (the lakewater is generaly very cold). Then in the evening you gather some wood in the forest to build a fire at the waterside. Slowly the air is turning into it's magnificent red colours and shades grow longer. It will not be completely dark as the sun only disappears behind the horizon for an hour. The night is calm when you lay in the tent and the morning brings another day to hike through the forests and discover some new (or equally beautiful old) items in nature.

Favorite thing: Go down to the harbour. It's beautiful. There are boats by the side. There is also a floating restaurant. A bridge connects the mainland with a small islet. From this hilly islet, you get a good view of Karlskrona.

Fondest memory: My best memory would be how pretty the whole town is. It's a quiet town even during peak hours. There aren't that many people living here. They are pretty friendly. Go to the souvenir shops by the harbour.

Karlskrona - my home

Karlskrona is a beautiful little city, I think, of about 60 000 inhabitants, situated on a couple of islands in the inner part of an archipelago in the Baltic sea, in the south east of Sweden.
