The Karen is the place to be if you are a student, at least on mondays, wednesdays and saturdays.
If you are not a student you got to get yourself on the guestlist to be able to gain entrance.
The prices are good and the staff are friendly (at least to me since they are my friends (or was between 1997-2002, now I'm not that sure how many from the old crew who are still active).
The staff enjoys singing.
The place is quite small and it was burned down last year (2002)... Sad... We had a "GravOl" (Funeral-Beer ceremony) outside the remains of the karen... I put some flowers on the stairway to show my affection for this place where we all share many memories, many headaches, many disappointments and much joy.
Dress Code: It all depends on the theme of the evening but Overall is the standard dress, at least to me, together with any attributes to it (for me my Faust-jacket).
Some parties require less clothing like the kinky night which is a nice treat to the eyes :-)
